BlazeSports 2008-2014

BlazeSports America’s mission is to empower children and adults with physical disabilities worldwide through sport, health enhancement, and the promotion of universal human rights.

BlazeSports America is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that is the legacy organization of the 1996 Paralympic Games held in Atlanta, Ga. These games, the first held on American soil, were the realization of the dreams of thousands of Americans involved in the growth and promotion of sports for persons with physical disabilities in the United States.

BlazeSports America is advancing the equality, visibility and human rights of people with physical disabilities through sport. Driven by a desire to provide all children and adults with physical disabilities the chance to play sports and live healthy, active lives, BlazeSports is dedicated to offering programs, education and tools worldwide. They provide athletes with training, support and the opportunity to increase independence and improve health. Whether you’re a competitive athlete or just want to learn a new sport, see what BlazeSports has to offer.
